State Study Abroad Initiative Grant (SSAI)
The Wisconsin State Government recognizes that international study experience is critical for the future of the state economy, and our campus community wants you to be able to study abroad before you graduate!
The State Study Abroad Initiative (SSAI) Grant program was designed to expand the international experience of Wisconsin students through study abroad. Eligibility for the grant is based on in-state residency, full time enrollment seeking a first bachelor's degree, academic standing of 2.74 or higher, and financial need.
To receive the SSAI Grant, you must meet the financial aid eligibility requirements and be accepted into a credit-bearing study abroad program run through the UW-Stevens Point Office of International Education.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Eligibility for SSAI Grant funding must be confirmed by the Office of International Education.
- Grant funds will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until the grant funds are exhausted.
- This grant cycle is only for the terms listed above.
- Eligibility in a prior year or a future year does not carry over to the current grant cycle.
- Students will receive this grant only once during undergraduate studies at UW-Stevens Point. If you have general questions about how financial aid applies to study abroad, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 715-346-4771 or finaid@uwsp.edu.
